Northern Youth Project COVID-19 Prevention Updates

Dear Community:

As many of you know, New Mexico’s governor has allowed for an easing into re-opening.

This includes Summer Youth Programs such as NYP. Each organization will have to comply with specific
safety & social distancing procedures. The governor declares it critical that people take individual safety
precautions, including continuing to wear cloth masks while in public.
As NYP is also operating, we’d like to take this opportunity to stress the importance of adhering to NYP’s
Health & Safety Protocols in keeping yourself, your family, & our community safe.

Teen Newsletters

NYP Teen Council members are sharing growing tips, recipes, art and more, so that other teens can stay connected.

#PlantTheSeed

NYP is partnering with Santa Fe Children’s Museum to empower youth and their families to grow their own food.

Sponsor-A -Bag

A $10 donation provides a bag of produce from farmers, ensuring that families have food.

This year we hosted our annual Plant Sale and Seed Exchange in a hybrid format! Participants ordered plants and seeds online, and signed up for a time to come pick up. Our volunteers and staff helped to pass out plants and seeds to our supporters!

We are still seeking farmers for our Green Gifts, which we provide to families in need. Let us know if you are a grower interested in participating!
